Antogasta Osvaldo was born in 1953. From 1972 to 1977 was part of the folk group Illapu. In 1977 he released his first album titled "Flight of Birds", with Claudio "Bird" Araya, produced by Seal Larch.

In 1978, at the request of women of the Disappeared, wrote the monologue "The vigil for the AFDD" presented work clandestinely in the churches. In 1979 he worked again with Illapu, writing the cantata "The Cry of the race," a tribute to indigenous peoples. The same year he brings his solo album "From the Andes to the City." For these last works was chosen for three consecutive years as the best songwriter of the year, winning the Larch. During the 80 releases his albums "Get up son" (1980), "Game Birds" (1983) and "Tales of the Highlands" (1984). Since 1985 living in France, where he has worked for cultural diffusion.
